Novo Nordisk has announced the appointment of Sebnem Avsar Tuna as general manager for its UK affiliate.
Avsar Tuna holds a wealth of medical, sales and marketing experience across multiple regions. After beginning her pharmaceutical career as a medical advisor at Santa Farma, Avsar Tuna held roles at Novo Nordisk for more than two decades.
She was most recently responsible for managing the company's operations across South-East Asia, Oceania, India, Pakistan and Iran in her role as senior vice president of region for Asia Pacific.
Prior to this, Avsar Tuna was general manager of Novo Nordisk Turkey and corporate vice president of the business area Commonwealth of Independent States, and held a number of other positions after joining the company in 2000.
Avsar Tuna said: “I am eager to collaborate with my colleagues here in the UK and ensure that our medicines reach those living with chronic conditions who need them most. Sharing a similar sentiment, Novo Nordisk said Avsar Tuna’s appointment is expected to “strengthen the company's commitment to delivering effective treatments for serious chronic diseases to more patients across the UK”.
