Leading provider of digital identification and traceability software solutions, Systech, has announced the launch of UniSecure artAI.
The company, which is part of Markem-Imaje and Dover, suggests that the cloud-based software can deliver ‘real-time results and forensic analytics that help combat critical challenges for life sciences companies and pharmaceutical brands’, according to the announcement.
UniSecure artAI utilises a variety of cutting-edge technologies including ‘advanced machine vision and machine learning’ to produce digital blueprints of packaging and labelling elements that allow faster verification and quality inspection. The software also offers analytics and reporting functionalities.
Sreedhar Patnala, general manager at Systech, commented: “We are thrilled to introduce artAI, a groundbreaking offering that underscores our commitment to providing cutting-edge solutions to challenges ranging from counterfeiting and diversion to upholding the highest level of quality. artAI enables brands to quickly identify and resolve issues and roll out packaging quality checks and counterfeit protection at scale. It is easy to use, does not require packaging changes, can be deployed rapidly and provides immediate value.”
The software aims to reduce the risk of counterfeit medication trafficking, which has proven to be a significant problem for the pharma and healthcare industries. In addition to the potentially severe risk to patient health, the counterfeit market generates billions of dollars per year, according to NIH statistics quoted in the announcement.
