Liveo Research, a leading primary packaging manufacturer, has had the EcoVadis rating of its Singapore site increased from Gold to Platinum. This means that the pharma packaging site is now rated in the top 1% of the 100,000 companies evaluated by EcoVadis in its annual global surveys.
EcoVadis rated the Singapore site across four key areas, including: environmental factors; labour and human rights; ethics; and sustainable procurement. The highest rated factor from this year’s survey was labour and human rights, wherein the Singapore site scored 90/100. The environment-based criteria also scored highly.
“We are very proud that after our US site in Delaware, the Singapore site has now also been awarded this prestigious Platinum medal by EcoVadis,” says Dr Carsten Heldmann, CEO of Liveo Research. He adds: “It's great that all of our global production sites have been awarded either Gold or Platinum medals, placing them in the top 1% of our industry.”
These results ref lect the wider sustainability-based directives that the company has adopted and their success. Liveo research has introduced a sustainability strategy based on the three pillars of products, people and the planet. Each pillar has its own framework implement across all sites, with attached key performance indicators specific to the pillar. Progress in decarbonisation, for example, is constantly monitored through Science-Based Targets Initiative criteria.
