Running from 26-28 November 2024, the largest pharma event in India is expected to have a record attendance of delegates from more than 150 countries, with over 2,000 exhibitors also expected.
To capitalise on this increased demand, CPHI India has launched several new initiatives. One example is the Connections Programme, which will act as a dedicated means of connecting attendees hoping for high-value deals through connecting key suppliers with attendees. This was introduced following feedback from previous events surrounding difficulties of networking. Another is creating a dedicated space for start-ups and emerging companies, reflecting wider industry interest in innovation and mirroring similar programmes at other CPHI events.
The agenda also introduces two new streams, the ‘Pharma Manufacturing Conclave’ and the ‘Pharma Sustainability Conclave’. Across the two streams, topics such as biosimilar supply chains, manufacturing for next-gen therapeutics, and sustainability challenges and solutions are included.
The 11th edition of the India Pharma Awards will also be held at the event, with the awards ceremony taking place on the evening of the last day. The awards cover 13 different categories and recognise talent across the scope of the Indian pharma sector.
“It has been an incredibly positive year for the Indian pharma industry, and we are witnessing this firsthand with a record attendance, including over 5,000 international participants. On the show floor we are seeing a wide breadth of local ingredient suppliers, alongside many new advanced equipment providers as the country and regional partners seek to wider their supplier base and modernise equipment during this period of growth,” said Olga Ponomareva-Stepnaya, brand manager of CPHI & PMEC India.
